Is drinking green tea just as good as taking the green tea diet pills?

Question by mommycat2004: Is imbibing light-green tea only as full as taking the dark-green tea diet pills?
I was wondering because I have been taking the MegaT green tea diet pills for awhile and am pleased with the results and increased energy. But I was curious to see if drinking the diet green tea would do just the same? And it would save money.

I’ve been vegan for a couple years, im 5’1 and 100 lbs. I’d like to loose 5 lbs. I plan to liquid fast for 1-2 weeks. Ive been drinking miso soup, juicing fruits and vegetables, etc. I also plan to buy some super fruit& veggie green powder for drinks. Any ideas on how I can get protein through low calorie liquids other than miso soup?

don’t.

a liquid diet is too low in calories. in fact, it’s deficient in pretty much every kind of nutrient except for carbohydrates, and the juicing helps separate carbs from fiber, fat and other nutrients which ordinarily would slow digestion.

carbs hit your system and spike your insulin. insulin stimulates lipoprotein lipase, which shoves all the sugar you just ate into your fat cells. you will certainly lose weight, but it will all be in your muscles. your metabolism will tank and you’ll feel crappy all the time. when you return to a normal, sane diet, you will regain all the weight you lost as fat, and then some.

seriously, this is a horrible idea and there is no reason to do it.

Quite recently I’ve found that my faeces have started to float on the water in the toilet. Some of them sink but the majority float on the surface and it often takes 4-5 flushes before they all eventually go through the U-bend. Is this a sign of a health problem or a bad diet?

In some cases, floating stools are caused by the excess amount of gas in the intestine. This can be due to a change in the diet or gastrointestinal infections. It can be the presence of gas that makes the stools float.

Mal-absorption of nutrients and fats may also lead to floating stools with diarrhoea. Excess levels of fat in the stools (steatorrhea) can happen due to mal-absorption. In this case, the stools may be foul smelling too. It may also happen that the bacteria in the intestine act on the excess nutrients in the faecal matter and release more gas, which in turn makes the stools float.

At 5’3 and 106 pounds you are ALREADY Underweight. You are SUPPOSED to weigh 111 to 124 pounds. Maybe having no energy will finally make you understand that you truly don’t need to lose any weight at all, and that you are already perfect the way you are! Save the dieting for those who TRULY Need it, and be PROUD Of your Body! It’s a hard lesson to learn isn’t it? Do you REALLY Want to be Weak for the rest of your Diet??? I don’t THINK So.
