500 calorie diet but adequate amount of protein and vitamins?

Question by Dr.Pop: 500 calorie diet but adequate amount of protein and vitamins?
If I were to go on a 500 calorie diet and take a lot of supplements, including those that contain a high amount of protein, would that reduce the negative side-effects of going on such a low calorie diet?
I would pretty much be getting everything the body needs except for the recommended amount of calories.

Won’t get rid of your hunger…but it’s up to you. It would be easier to follow this rule, don’t eat anything that has more then 1 calorie per gram of food. This way you can limit your caloric intake while not being hungry. Don’t know if you can get it down to 500 calories without being hungry but if you wanna get extreme don’t eat any food that has more then .5 calories per gram of food. This will mean you are basically just eating green vegetables (ex: broccoli has only .3 calories per gram.) So you can get pretty close to your goal while eating a good amount of nutrient rich foods.

I seriously don’t think that’s healthy. You would be REALLY hungry and you wouldn’t have barely any energy, especially if you’re an active person. On the nutrition side, you won’t be able to absorb a lot of those nutrients, especially the vitamins, without some kind of fat in your diet. There has GOT to be better ways to loose weight then that…
